アンイースタジオファミリーの霜田りえこが2025年に出版した絵本『クマヤマダさんのおくりもの』 は、子ども達と10年以上、一緒にアートを楽しんできた経験の中で生まれた絵本です。 この絵本は、「みんなと同じができない」ことで孤立感を感じたり自信をなくしてしまった女の子「ワタシ」が、 破天荒なクマヤマダさんの登場で「みんなと違うことができるって面白い！」と気づき、他のお友達もそれぞれ自分のやりたかったことに挑戦してみる楽しさに気づく。というストーリーです。（まだまだ表現仕切れていませんが・・） そんな「みんなと同じができない」ことで悩んでいる子や、もっと決まりごとの少ないフリーな環境でものづくりがしたい！と思っている子どもたちのために、Find Out Class-見つけてみよう！クラスを 2026年5月から日曜日の午前10:30-12:00に開講することとなりました。 このクラスは、何を描きたいか作りたいかを自分で決めて、完成は自分が納得できるまで。 準備、片付けは自分たちでちゃんとする。 基本的に日本語でのクラスになりますが、英語での対応もできるので日本語が話せなくても大丈夫です。 講師は「相談役」として、子ども達が怪我などしないように見守り、技術面でのサポーターです。 みんなと同じができなくても、キラキラ光る才能が隠れているはず。 その才能を一緒に見つけて、伸ばしていけるような環境作りを目指しています。 工作が得意、アニメーションが描ける、撮影が上手、イラストが得意、などその道のプロフェッショナルなクマヤマダ講師陣を適宜招いて、一緒にいろんなことにトライしてひとりでも多くの子どもが、自分に自信をつけられる場作りにしたいと思っています。 このクラスの対象は、アート・もの作りが好きな小学生1年生からのお子さまです。中学生、高校生もご相談ください。

​​​“Kumayamada the Bear's Gift", a picture book published in 2025 by Rieko Shimoda of the Art n’ English Studio family, is a story born through enjoying art with children for over 10 years. This picture book tells the story of a young girl, "Watashi." At first, she feels alone and unconfident because she "can't do things the same as everyone else," however, with the arrival of Mr. Kumayamada, she realizes that "it's fun to be able to do things differently.＂ Her friends also discover the joy of trying to do what they've always wanted to do. For children who are troubled by not being able to do things the same as everyone else, or who want to create things in a more free and relaxed environment with fewer rules, we will be offering the “Find Out Class” starting May 2026, held on Sundays from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM. In this class, children decide for themselves what they want to draw or create, and continue until they are satisfied with the finished product. They are responsible for their own setup and cleanup. Although instruction will primarily be in Japanese, English is also available, so non-Japanese speakers are welcome. Instructors act as "advisors," watching over children to prevent injuries and to provide technical support. Even if you can't do the same things as everyone else, you surely have a shining talent hidden within. We aim to create an environment where we can discover and develop that talent together. We invite “Kumayamada instructors,” professionals in diverse fields such as crafts, animation, photography, and illustration to try out various things together, helping as many children as possible to gain self-confidence. This class is aimed at children from the first grade of elementary school who love art and making things. Junior and senior high school students are also welcomed.
